Tumbalong Park

Thursday October 18, 2007 (Day 2)

Tumbalong Park

The Aborigines called the area around Darling Harbor "Tumbalong" thus the park´s name. The park is located at the southern end of Darling Harbour next to the Chinese Garden in Downtown Sydney, Australia. “Tumbalong Park” is a magnificently manicured grassed park, fountains and very large grassed area that could be used for such things as launching Hot Air Balloons. Just near the tourist mecca of Darling Harbour is this little gem of a walkway called “Tumbalong” that is shunned by the public, but a nice quiet place to sit on the weekends.
